Step into the Good Circle of Life

I am 47 years old, but I feel much better then when I was 27.

During my first 27 years, I was heavily involved in sports. I played ice-hockey and soccer and kept myself in good form. My weight was around 175 lbs at 5’10”.

I moved from Sweden to the USA for 20 years ago. May active life style stagnated and I began to eat too much unhealthy food. The weight kept increasing over the years and I peeked at 245 lbs. I had many excuses for not taking care of my physical health. I claimed to be too busy at work or with my family. I told myself that the time just did not allow me to exercise. At my annual check ups, I was told that I should seriously change my life style if I wanted to live a long and meaningful life. With high blood pressure and a stressful job I was told me to drop a “few”, or else…. The recommendations continued for years and occasionally I got into an exercise program, but never for too long. My idea of exercise back then was to go out jogging, which due to my overweight situation often resulted  in injuries and pain, or I just stopped without any good reasons.

I met Johnny Miller for about 1.5 years ago and I have been training with him ever since. Johnny introduced me to the new concepts including diets and how to train. The best diet program is to first understand the relationships between carbs, protein, sugar and fat and then keep track on what you are consuming for a month or so. I gradually started to understand that what you eat is 80% of any successful exercise program. We really consume to much of sugar and fat and to little protein  and good carbs.

The second step is to find and all around good exercise program. I see guys running 50-60 miles per week at my age, which in my opinion expose you to injury risks with long term consequences. Johnny built an all-around exercise program for me. I am spending about 30 minutes a day, 6 days per week. At my age, if you legs are sore, you just focus on another body group to exercise. I do arms, legs, shoulders, back and cardio on different days. Sometimes I combine 2 groups. This gives my body groups necessary rest and recovery time – this is essential if you want to build a long term program. My goal is to be in the peak of my physical ability when I reach 50. I do not go for the instant gratification crash course. I am thinking long term, and yes the time goes by so quickly.

You might be telling yourself that you can’t do that, because you don’t have time. Guess what, I have more time now just because I need 2 hours less sleep per day. I used to sleep 8 hours per night and now about 5-6 hours. I am a single dad with 3 kids and a dog, I have a big house, I have a summerhouse, I work as an airline executive, I restore classic cars, I ride motorcycles and sports cars, my kids are involved in sports on a fairly competitive level and I travel all around the world, but I still have 30 minutes per day for exercise and so do you. You just need to steep straight in to the Good Circle of Life. If you do, you will find out that your body is actually connected to your brain. Generally, the better physical shape you are in, the better you fell and the more efficient you become. I do much more things now in shorter time then I did before.

Today my weight is 75 lbs less,  I am around 170 lbs and I was 245 lbs. I can run a 1 mile in 5 minutes and 50 seconds. I can do much more weights and endurance exercises and I feel like I have regained 20 years of my life. If you think you cannot afford a personal trainer, just think about how much more money you are going to make just feeling better, becoming more efficient and doing a better job. Also think long term, consider how much you are saving in pain and health related expenses over time.

Good Luck and Step in to the Good Circle of Life.

I would like to share my personal experience to current and future clients of Sculpt-U. After spending a moderate amount of time in traditional fitness clubs over the past five years with modest (howbeit unspectacular) results I stumbled upon their business card in a local eatery.

My goals were to gain 30 lbs of lean body tissue. Gaining muscle mass has always been difficult for me due to my lean frame and family genetics. Along with my workouts, Sculpt-U designed an eating plan where I could reach my goals in a natural and safe manner.

After 2 months, I have gained approximately 20 lbs with marked improvement in size, strength and endurance. Co-workers and family were the first to notice. I am stronger and in better shape at 35 years old than at any other time of my life. Although I have worked out regularly for the past five years it wasn’t until I employed the services of Sculpt-U that I was able to raise my personal benchmark for physical fitness.

My only regret is that I didn’t meet the Sculpt-U team earlier when I struggled to meet my fitness goals on my own. Sculpt-U helped me achieve in 3 months what regular fitness club training failed to do. I am convinced they can take you to the next level as well!

Warm Regards,

Milind S. Gupte

Johnny Miller and Sculpt-U has completely changed my way of life. I am 38 years old and have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis in both my wrists and ankles. I was always very active well into my 20’s before I was diagnosed and then it proved difficult for me to even get on a treadmill let alone workout with any discipline.

I have been a client of his for 3 years and I am in better shape now than I was in my 20’s. Not only do I look and feel better, I’ve gained muscle mass and increased bone density to a point where I have my disease under control with less pain and more energy!

Sculpt-U has created a workout plan tailored to my needs. The combination of circuit training, cardio and weight bearing exercise has worked wonders for me. My chronic joint problems have always limited any type of weight training workouts. Johnny has been very creative in the way he structures my workouts and has successfully removed any limitations I previously encountered.

I am married, a mother and work full-time so time management is very important to me. I have worked out with other trainers and no where have I found a place that caters to my schedule, family and lifestyle like Sculpt-U.

I have worked with John both professionally and personally for 2 ½ years. He is committed to an excellent training experience and his recommendations are medically sound. The focus and enthusiasm he embraces for each of his clients is contagious.

Most importantly he approaches his work with honesty and integrity. If you desire long lasting, life changing results, work with John. You will be most impressed with his knowledge, his courtesy and your new look.

I have known John for over two years. During that time he has worked as my personal trainer. He has helped me implement an effective diet as well as an excellent strength training regimen. Through John's instruction I was able to accomplish my goals!

I found John to be friendly, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable as a personal trainer. He is also conscientious, punctual, proactive to his clients needs, and above all else honest.

I feel John would be a great asset to anyone as a personal trainer. I highly recommend his services.
